Accessibility Statement

Luminary is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. Our goal is a barrier-free digital experience that reflects the spirit of the federal Accessible Canada Act, and meets or exceeds the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. luminary.works is fully conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Fully conformant means that the content fully conforms to the accessibility standard without any exceptions.

The Luminary Network content hosted on the third-party Thinkific platform at luminary.works/network has not been evaluated.

Luminary Indigenous Innovation assessed the accessibility of luminary.works by the following approaches:

  • Self-evaluation
  • Automated tools (Equalize digital Accessibility Checker Plug in, axe DevTools browser extension, and WAVE browser extension)
  • Manual testing for pointer navigation, keyboard navigation, basic screen reader navigation, and code, design, and content review
